hi, i was just wondering, what you actually have to do to the BIOS when you have a new motherboard? also how do you access the bios?

You access the bios by usually pressing Del at bootup.

You shouldn't have to do much. I'd just check settings making sure the hard drive has been found and is ready to boot and things.

If you have Windows XP, you might even have trouble booting up into Windows after updating the hardware. It has this protection on it, so I hope it works.

can he reactivate windows as long as he has original activation key.if he has gone over the upgrade mark
