I didn't bring up what happened back then now did I? The gap isn't closing.

The gap isn't closing because the newest P4s are terrible. Again no the gap isn't closing.

You just say I do hate people. So using your logic, how can you know if I do? I don't hate people. Don't bring up supposed personal correspondence (of which I never made). I think you are the people hater here. You better not ever push the accusation of me having hatred. That is something I can't hold because of my own personal beliefs. Furthermore, you never had the facts. :D

dont quote any facts. i believe you and so do alot fo other people. in giancarlos words "if you want the facts look them up". or i believe he said something like that in an EMT64 being 64 bit thread

Yeah I think that hard drive technology is possible. Anything that comes out in technology will not surprise me as they are always making bigger leaps and bounds.
Didn't they say they had got a crystal of some sort thats really small, and using the right laser frequencey (too much shatters it), they could theriorettically store a terrabyte of data on it? I heard about that from somewhere. Imagine those running a hard drive... Many of them, hehe

Besides there were no links provided... so who I am to believe? :p

What about your links? Everytime I see you guys get into a AMD vs. Intel debate, all I see you say is that Intel sucks and AMD is better or that there is no gap and that AMD owns all (something like that). When others provide links you just shoot them down. But, I've never seen you post any benchmarks or links. If the Intel Pentum 4 6xx aren't really 64-bit, then show us the proof that isn't. BTW Intel is still capable. Their Xeon line is getting better than it was before (Although the new Dual-Core Opteron line PWNS it :D). Their only downside is that they can't concentrate on a few things to make them better. They try to concentrate on a bunch of projects and they and up screwing themselves up and it takes them forever to get something out in the market. Not to mention their poor marketing strategies like releasing a Dual-Core Pentium 4 for desktops when the market least needs it.

exactly how i feel. im justt getting pissed at him trying to say his way is right and no one else can be right. (but then again he never specifically came out and said that, just looking into the future when he decides to quote me)

I'm keeping outta this, me and Gaincarlo has kinda settled our differences. Were all entiled to our opinoin, and I'm with you, Intel is still trying hard.

I still wonder though, what happened to the Dothan-like cores being introduced on the desktop, i.e, I thought Intel was eventually going back to the achitecture used on the P3's as it proved to be more efficient that the P4 technology.

Excuse me? The new 6XX pentiums are better then the 5XX series!!! I don't know where you people get off saying they are not good, my Mom has a 660 Pentium4 and it is WONDERFUL! I use an AMD 3500+, so I have direct UNBIASED opinions on this unlike some of you! How dare you state things without using them!?!!?! Shame on some of you! Intel has made a Pentium that is very stable, runs very cool, and OCes like CRAZY!!! I don't now where you are getting your info, but the 6XX are perfectly fine for a P4. Go use one and compare to an AMD of similar caliber. They sure can OC a lot better then AMDs!!! My Moms is at 4.7GHz stable as a rock with the Abit FATALITY MOBO. The EM64 is FULL 64bit Giancarlo, you have no idea what you are talking about. As opposed to AMDs 64bit memory handler, Intel uses a command in the memory instruction sets to execute 64bit, it isn't as efficient, but it is "FULL" 64bit. What is your stupid defintion of 64bit anyways??!?!?! Go learn and compare before bashing Intel why don't you! As to their new DUAL CORE PENTIUM4 EE, it SUCKS compared to AMD since it has to use a logics controller. Now there is a legitament claim as to why Intel isn't doing so well.. The EE 840 is LAUGHABLE. However, the 6XX are cut throat, ruthless competitors on the single core market to AMD. They don't excel in gaming as much, but they make it up everywhere else.

Calm calm, please. I agree with u, but that'll infuriate some users.

Other than that, I find a 4.7GHz P4 hard to believe. Do you have a screen shot of CPUz that I could look at?

Other than that, there are some fundamental differences between the 5xx and 6xx series, and although on the whole the 6xx series are better feature wise and future proofing wise than the 5xx series, the Speed Steap technology does sometimes make it linger slightly behind the 5xx in a few benchmarks. However, I personally would rather have the 6xx series over the 5xx series anyday.

I can't be bother re-writing all my views, so here is the older thread regarding the 6xx series....
