OC athlon64 3000+

got new OC. just did it. posted in the sticky benchmark thingy but ill post it here too, this is going to be a double post.

ok well as you all know over the past 3 months i've been spending lots of moeny on my computer. well its has all come to this.

AMD ATHLON64 3000+
NEO 4 PLATINUM SLI MOBO
512MB PC-2700 RAM
160GB HD
X-BLADE GAMING CASE
500W ALIEN-X ASPIRE
7.1 SPEAKERS
7.1 SB LIVE!
MSI 6600GT
FLOPPY DRIVE
CD-RW

3dmark03=7554 without o/c and with 66.93 drivers

3dmark03=8382 with video at 550/1100 and 71.89 drivers

3dmark03=8596 with cpu OC to 2.02ghz and 550/1100 video and 71.89 drivers

3dmark03=8751 with cpu OC to 2.21ghz and 550/1100 video and 71.89 drivers

3dmark03=8884 with cpu OC to 2.34ghz and 550/1100 video and 71.89 drivers

3dmark03=8910 with CPU OC to 2.4ghz and 550/1100 video and 71.89 drivers.

dont forget this is all with stock cooling and its not going anywhere near 45 degrees. ok i got up to 2.43ghz but 3dmark03 crashed and the computer restarted. what do you think would be a good area for me to leave the ghz at so i dont have to worry. cpu voltage is 1.5v and video is 1.5v

dunno if when u edit it comes back up top so ima write this in. do you think maybe now the ram would be limiting the OCing success? its only infinion 512mb pc-2700 ram.

Yeah probably. The ram's speed and timings play a big role so I'm sure if the ram was better you'd see a more stable and higher OC.

yea i just caught a black flash as i closed the last internet window that was open..i think i'll declock to 2.37ghz
shoudl be safe there
