I am looking to get a nice big intake fan for my computer. Something that moves 93.7 cfm of air. First off (this is for a new system I'm working on, my sisters computer), I want to turn one of my fans thats blowing air into my computer, and switch it around so it's blowing air out. Then have a big 120 mm fan in the back blowing a big amount of air in. My question is for a fan like this one:

How would I know if the new motherboard im buying (this one)

could use that 3 pin connector. The fan says that the power connector is 3 pin, how do I know if that motherboard will be able to attach to that?

Whats that thing in the top left corner. I see the thing in the top right connects to the motherboard and the power supply, but whats that in the top left corner?

you can clearly see the little thing that connects to another wire coming out of the power supply. But my power supply (400 watts and nothing on this system is a big power guzzler), does not have an extra wire coming out of it to connect this new fan to. Where can i get like a splitter type thing to a random wire into two things so i can connect my fan to the power supply?
