Deleted Hard drive, need some help

I recently purchased a recovery disk on ebay, which was used to delete my hard drive on a computer that was donated to me. I was not given any disks (Windows OS, drivers) with the computer. The computer unit has a cd-rw, cd-rom, and a floppy drive; will these components be useless once a new Windows OS is installed. Also, Is it possible to install a Windows OS that was already installed into another computer? If so, what information would I need? Please Help! Thanx

It is fine to install the OS on it again, if you know someone who has Windows XP, just borrow their Cd's and do an install using the restore option.Bootup with the Cd with the driver's on it.

it will put the comp. back to the way it came from the store. I don't believe it will make you activate it. Also when windows is installed, it will automatically detect your hardware & drives, and install the driver's for them.
