How often do you run a spam/virus scan?

Spyware once a month.

Can't remember the last time I ran a full virus check.

I depens really you should run it every week. But personally I run it when ever I am suspicious and want to be on the safe side.

i run norton AV every week

i run spyware about every 2/3 weeks(lavasoft & spybot)

I run a mcafee scan everyweek never have any virus though anyway i have the internet security.

I tend to not bother untill I think I'm infected.

^^Infact, that's probaly the same for me. If a new toolbar appears (highly unlikley in firefox - well mum uses ie) or the computer is slow, or ads coming for nowhere, I know that's the time to scan.

my last scan was years ago, i only do it when i think ive got a virus, i uninstalled norton anti a while ago, guess what, i think ive got a virus, the moral of the story:
Norton (as annoying as it may be) is really useful, insofar as you dont get a virus if you keep it and therefore you dont have to wipe your computer and re-install windows as a result of unistalling it
note to self: Please, please dont uninstall it next time
