HELP! Newbie building a gaming computer.

lol yeah i remember that hot air goes up. but naa i remember my cousin (who left school at year 10 and is now a fully qualified computer consultant/engineer) had one on the top of his box. he also had sound deadening on his (thick fabric glued to the sides of the case... it was UNBELIEVABLY quiet) but that also acted as insulation too so he had 2 small fans (80mm i think) at the bottom on cycle in and a big 120mm fan in the roof of it on cycle out. he was also gonna get some stuff that was sorta like the A/C ventilation tubing stuff (like in the roof of shops, the metallic looking stuff with rings in it) and was gonna put in a third fan at the mack, mid way up and run the tubing from there to the heatsink and fan giving a direct outlet to outside cool air and forcing more air in!

hehehe it was good for overclocking thats for sure!!!

i really like the lian-li pc-1000. It pretty expensive, but its designed for better air flow. And the look its hard on the eyes.

Nice video card choice. Just be warned the 6600gt is insanely loud. Probably louder than a gamer case with six 80mm fans.

I can't even hear my 6600GT. It's stealth quiet. Maybe the fan on the video board is rubbing against the wire or something? The MSI 6600GT is pretty quiet though.

I'm still deciding on my graphics card, either the 6800GT or the 6600GT is the 6800GT worth the price difference?

yes the 6800GT is worth is if you are going to spend that much on a comp. The 6600GT is the most bang for you buck though.
