Well as far as I can tell, they are selling fine, so apperently people like the fact that its so compact. FYI, Mac components don't run as hot as PC ones, so it doesn't really matter.
If you plug the connector in and bend the wires up at a 90deg angle you can slip on a couple of cable straps right above the turn and an inch or so above that and lock them down. On my MSI board the power connector in on the other side of the board from yours. But still it's in the way. So here's a couple of pics as to how I solved that problem. I'm sorry the inside of my system is a bit messy. I had a go round with a fan that crapped. Should see how I fixed that one. LOL...
Athlon64FX now you know why they make agp and pci card hang componet side down...
