MOBO:I don't know enough about MOBO's to pick one out. it has to have PCI-E x16 for my Graphic card, and i want at least three PCI slots. it doesn't have to have intergraded graphics or sound. willing to spend up to or around $600 canadian

CPU:Athlon 64, at least 3.0ghz (can't pick out do to no MOBO). willing to spend anything

OS:Microsoft Windows XP Professional Upg. Serv. Pack 2

Everything added up comes to $2,164.85 canadian or $1,745.09 US or 926.12 pounds

you do ealize that there is no athlon64 in the world that is at 3.0ghz right? unless you meant "athlon 64, or at least a 3.0ghz p4" anyway get the Neo 4 platinum mobo its $300.00 cad taxes in and then you can put in another 6800 when your ready.

athlon 64s dont go to 3ghz unless u oc... do u mean at least a64 3000? u should get a 3500 winchester. those r gr8 for ocing. and 4 a mobo depends if u want sli or not. if u want sli:

btw u didnt pick a psu. i dont kno wich psus r good so ill let someone else answer this.
(be warned tho that some of those mobos need 24pin psus and some need 20pin. find out b4 u buy a psu.

Msi, Msi, Msi...

Can you tell which motherboard brand I use?
Felxable, expandable, and a rock solid warranty. A whole lot of bang for a little bit of bucks. As for the dvd burner, I have the Samsung 16x combo burner. It's fast, accurate, reliable. I burn 40x cd and 8x dvd with no problems.

I have never had a athlon CPU before so i have no clue about them.

Um...

As for where to buy MSI hardware I can't help you there other than go to the MSI site and use the seller locator. Samung is mostly OEM equipment so any large computer store should have it.

To be honest, by september I'm sure there will be losts of new stuff out so decide on the parts when youre ready.
