Hi everyone

I am running my own server now-adays, it is open to ftp and http. So i am as a test hosting my website there. But my problem is that the address is the computers ip address, i want a dns name instead....


Does anyone know of any dns server or alike, were i can deside my own domain name?

Like a simple program where you enter a ip address and it re-hosts or redirects/alike to a web address with letters.....


Maybe i should also ask if this is possible.

P.S. if i must have registerd a doman name, then i have one but it is not very good so i would rather come up with my own that is unused...

What it seems like you need is a redirecting service. I use www.dyndns.com it works fine for me. Or another good one is DNS exit if you have a real domain name like www.something.com or .net or something like that.
