i guess so that people wont be able to track you. plus, if u do illegal or questionable things, thats a must because there will be somebody that wants to track u down and the ip address is like a fingerprint and its pretty unique. so if u can change urs, than ur well off. correct me if im wrong anybody,. yeha./

how do you put a proxy on your computer?

its easy. just use the website. u dont really put it on ur comp, u just use a browser and in that browser the proxy to surf.

On my internet options i have a place were i can put a prxy number and a port. could i use that.

do u use i.e.? if u do, i have no idea becuase i use firefox. i have even uninstalled i.e. because of all the viruses and worms it brought. sorry. but proxies use the adress and u just put in the adress like any other website and u just use the proxy to surf without any blocks.
