Hwo to tell.

well its just an overall good card. its one of the best 6600gts and so is the gigabyte (wich is clocked 100mhz faster than this one on the core)
 
system requirments are higher, and if you are ordering it online newegg is more known. other than that i didn't really notice any major diferences
 
A few things worth mentioning:

The MSI card comes with about 3 games... Including XIII (whoohoo...). I don't know about the EVGA one, but I bet that it doesn't come with as much nice software as the MSI one.

If it says you need AGP 8x, and you don't have it, then it probably won't work. I'm not sure though...
 
yes a 8x card will work on a 4x agp slot. just wont run as good as it could. i would seriously think about getting a new mobo too, and make sure you hjave a 350w psu minimum
