I need help installing a program

no... there are five accounts... mine, my two sisters, my moms, and my dads

another thing, I tried to install it on my moms laptop and it worked... but then when I tried to play it, it didn't work... but its an old laptop.

I just think its weird that it can install on an old laptop, but not a brand new dell

That could just be that its an old Laptop.

You should ask your Dad about installing it then. Its possible he's the Admin.

No... my dad doesn't know jack **** about computers... I think it might have to do w/ my computer... like the graphics... idk... any other suggestions?

He may have set up the Computer though; in which case he could be the Admin whether he knows about them or not.

Nah; except a Reinstall with only one user.

No... my mom is the one who set up the computer...

it might (as in small possibility) be your RAM. How much RAM do you have?

It could be RAM... but I can't imagine that would stop it installing even.

Disable any antivirus you hahave and try to install if that fails:

Goto start run / type msconfig

On the general Tab put the dot beside selective startup and click the startup tab.

Remove the checks from everything except wire less devides such as keyboard or mouse ..


Then click ok.

Restart the machine when it asks and try installing the software.

Do this at your own risk, as sometimes ( rare ) windows will not boot properly afterwards.

This is a general software troubleshooting technique that we use on a regular basis.

I don't think its RAM... I think we have 84... I honestly, don't know... how would I find out?
