antivirus problems

I currently have no antivirus on my computer but when I install one and restart my computer I have no internet connection. I have high speed internet through a cable modem and the modem is connected to a wireless router. I've tried different antiviruses but with all I lose my internet connection.

I think it's cuz you have your firewall on, just make sure the firewall isn't on and you should be ok.

Why would a firewall do anything? You need a firewall, unless you want to be hi-jacked. I've never even heard of that problem.... If you uninstall it, the internet comes back on?

Why do you post immediately in every topic I post in? And I'm sorry you haven't ever heard of that, but it's true. Maybe it's a different kind of firewall, but that can happen.
