computer restarts.??

i just put in a 120 gig hdd. i formated it and put on windows xp .. the problem is that it will only stay on for a couple mins and then restart.. it keeps doing this .. ne ideas?

ne help will be greatly appreciated.

double check your connections...I.D.E cables and power cables...if it's restarting like that something is'nt snuggged tight or configured correctly.

this new hhd of your's, did you make the partition active in bios, also make shure it is the 3rd thing on the boot order.
 
ya i did that and it still keeps restarting..
is the hdd supposed to be connected to the blue or black connector? or does it matter?
 
I think blue is the default, but it really doesn't matter. Jumper settings are usally what selects everything.

Well, see if anyone else has some suggestions, but that PS does seem awfully weak...
