LOL thats not embarrasing i guess, but did you try the back? somtimes theres a power switch on the back, thats where my computers old one was

open it up, the first card that you in the expansions slot there is a red/black button on it push it and it will turn on

Yeah I would suggest just pressing anything and everything. And check the bottom, top, sides, back, everywhere, the chances are the power button is somewhere out of the ordinary.

it is where i said it is, i have worked on that computer before, he is missing another part of the computer that has the power button on it

Oooh man, I remember those computers! LOL, but that would case a problem, eh ;P Perhaps theres a way to modify the connection on the back. It's probably just something that needs to be shored out.
