So, I have finally chosen the specs for my new PC, which I will be building as soon as all the parts are released. I can't wait!

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 939 Venice Core 1.8GHz

Abit AX8 with Guru Clock - £79.95 (Gladiator Computers)

Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 200GB 8MB cache - £77.54 (Scan)

400W Scan 3XS Silent Power Supply with 120mm fan - £11.73 (Scan)

1GB (2 x 512MB) PC3200 (Major Elixir) Retail - £58.26 (Scan)

NEC ND-3520A Dual Layer - £36.68 (Scan)

Aerocool JetMaster Jr - £38.72 (Casetech)

Thermaltake Xcontroller X2140 Multicolour - £12.87 from leftclicks

Sapphire Radeon X300SE PCI-EXPRESS 128MB DDR TV-Out Retail Box - £39.63 (Ebuyer)

Total (with Venice core costing ~£100) = £455.38

I am also currently looking for an LCD screen which has no fan controller but has temperature probes and is around £25. Any one know of one, and what do you think of the specs? I will be upgrading the graphics card early next year when the prices of the 6600GT and 6800GT come down.

EDIT: I am actually looking for an LCD screen with a fan controller at the moment:D

I wanna overclock so the Abit is the obvious choice, especially as it comes with a Guru clock. I plan to mod the case, by putting an LCD screen on the top and a blow hole on the top so I can check the temperature whenever I want. And also I'm going to put LCDs all the way around the window, light blue ones, so that the window will glow. Any other ideas?

i would get a different video card, maybe a 6600 or 6200 since it looks like your on a budget

Can you get 6200s in the UK? I don't want to get a 6200 Turbocharge and I didn't realise there were any others. My budget is £500, and with LEDs, an LCD temperature screen and 2 completly silent 120mm fans I am getting to around £480. Anyway, at Chirstmas I am going to put the money left and all my Christmas money towards a XFX 6800GT, cos my mate has one and they r SWEET!

The only problem is as I am only 13 I can only do paper-rounds, and as my school loves homework and I get back at 4.30 I can only do weekends, so I'm getting about £5 a week, not good for upgrading lol.
