Sound distortion

hey guys
when playing DVD's, the sound comes out all distorted, kinda like matrix style, I can't really explain it, I hope at least some of you know what im talking about.
I am using a 24 bit LIVE sound blaster sound card
5.1 surround sound
XP
Windows media player, but it also doesn't work on nero

hey dude any idea where the drivers for this sound card would be located?

they SHOULD come with the card, its a cd... if not tell us the company name of the soundcard and the model, and maybe we can check at the official site.

i take it to uninstall my drivers i would just need to go into device manager and click remove drivers under the properties for 24 bit live soundcard?
