AVG problem...

today I scanned my computer with AVG free, and got a pop up "virus detected." I thought ok well now i should get rid of it but when I clicked 'delete file' that didnt work, then I clicked 'move to virus vault' that didnt work so then I clicked 'heal' and that didnt work. Does anyone know why or if there is anything I can do to get rid of it, or if there are any other decent (free) antivirus's out there.

Don't worry, first of all what does AVG say when you try to heal it and are you logged into the Admin account. If the you are logged into an Admin account update AVG if you have not done so.

If you update and still can not remove go to the file and delete it your self .. lol works for me. you should think about buying Norton Anti Virus

ok, im pretty sure I updated it and when i try to heal it says somthing like this action cannot be used on this type of file. And yes I a probably going to buy norton. thanks technoman

yer my AVG did that all you need to do is delete the file thats what i did
