All high end processors like that are overpriced; the FX-55 only works with games, its too expensive for such a use. The EE only really does actual computer stuff, its too expensive.

In the end however you can see 20 Seconds less Encoding time, 3 Seconds less Application Loading time; even a number of seconds less game loading time. You cannot see even 50 extra Frames. As long as it does more than 70 all the time, in explosions and such you won't notice anything. In the end, the EE makes more sense than the FX if you're going to pay that much for a Processor. The EE gives you something you can see and will save you time, the FX only gives you something you can go and brag to your friends about.
