is it possible to alter how often windows xp synchronizes its time over the internet. my pc currently synchronizes weekly but for what ever reason my pc gains time at about 1min/day. is there a registry key i can change to make it syncronize daily.

i have reinstalled xp. changed cmos battery and recently upgraded my hard disk. a different psu has been tried but non of these have made any difference. must be a m/board fault but cannot afford to change it at this moment in time.

any help would be appreciated

goto start>run>regedit.exe hit ok

local_machine>system>currentcontrolset>services>w32time>config

in the right pane double click updateinterval and select decimal and type in 51428 and hit ok

restart your computer

see if that works..make sure u back up ur registry first

cheers

just downloaded tweaking toolbox xp which allows me to alter it.

but will remember that reg key for the future as i dont like installing loads of software
