Intel Pentium 6xx or AMD Athlon 64 skt 939 Winchester?

Back on the subject though. If you wait for the new Venice cores on the AMD 64s, they can be amazingly overclocked and are real 64-bit processors.

But if you have £599 - £650 why not get an FX-57 with a San Diego core when they come out in the third quarter of this year. They may be around £700, I'm not sure, but they will be the best processors in the world for a long, long time. And if £700 or more is too much, again wait for the end of the year and get an FX-55 with a San Diego core. Trust me, you can't go wrong with an FX. Unlike with P4 EEs....they are just a way to burn money!

so the current amd 64s are not real 64-bit???????????

AMD64 is without a doubt the best 64-bit CPU out there, not to mention the cheapest and the fastest. Intel lost the market, it's too late.

Withouta doubt the a64 for gamin, however if it was general desktop use like web surfin and office then get p4!!!
