Well, come April 4th, AMD is introducing the Venice core. It is going to introduce E stepping. It is going to be like the other chips except for the new Revision and something else. Someone at xtremesystems got a hold of 2. Now for all of you unfamiliar with OC'ing, Xs is home of the #1 3Dmark team and is home of Chilly1 and many other people that were at the Great Texas OC'ing competition. Everyone are widly known. Here is a link to th thread by the guy.

No comparing, just talk about this chip. I will either edit this post or just post more when more is known.

The inquirer originally said it wont but they came out and said it will. So it's just a new core...everything else will be fine.

If this chip is being compared with the FX-55, how much will it cost? How faster will it be compared to Newcastle and Winchester cores do you think?
Anyone know what the speed ranges will be? :p

It will replace the processors out now, 3000+ and up to 4000+ and then i think the FX is going to have the San deigo core in the 4th quarter this year. This core can OC very well on air with low voltages which is very nice. We dont have hard evidence but people are basing it on what the guy oiver at XS did.

I'm reall lookin forward to the windsor core with 2mb l2 cache and 677mhz ddrII support, Intel will well and treuly be mastered!!!
