i just purchased a sony dvd rw from micro direct. 1 x Sony DW-D22AB Dual Layer Black 16X DVD +/-R/RW oem @ £31.99(37.59) each.
i install it the find out i need to download drivers for it! it is running on the default windows drivers, and shows up as a cd r. so i do a google search, which tells me that sony don't do a up to date or specific driver for this item.
what is more i can only find people bad mouthing it. not one good report on it.
i thought when i purchased it that its spec was ok for the price, so i didn't look at any reviews.
are sony a total pile of crap? my old sony dvd player will only show up as a cd player as well.
