Can Any One Help With Elixir 512mb ram?

Hi can any one help me? Ive got a elixir 512mb ram but when i put it in my motherboard it works i think well, it says there ram, where i look at control pannel/system properties but after a while my computer starts messing up and running slow! can this be because ive also got a 256mb ram aswell and that is a smasung 256mb ram! Please help?

try not using the 256mb stick and see if it still runs crappy. if it doesnt you knwo it was the old stick

Ok thanks, ive got two elixir 512mb ram so should i put both of them in!

yes, it wont make any difference those are both new. its the old stick that might be causing you problems

well, i would have put both in the first place, considering thats only 256 to a 512 stick, yeah make sure there in there correct slots, if you only got two slots then your good but make sure there in there correct number, 1 2 3 so forth, if you can figure it out CPUID will tell you.
