How can I delete items that appear in my start-up?
For example: there is a program thats called sixty-six that as far as I can tell is just a pop-up window. I uncheck it, click apply, click ok, and then restart my computer but it will still show up as checked.

Thats my question, how do you delete it?
If I right click on it it says "whats this?"
My OS is windows ME.

Just click START>PROGRAMS and then look for Startup. If the program is there then delete it there. If it is not, it may be in your Objects. For that you have to go to your configuration panel>Internet Options>Settings>View Objects.
In the list there, right clic and check the properties of the objects; if you see the name associates to it, delete it.
If it isn't there, you will have to go to your registry editor.
Click START>RUN in the dialog box type regedit then press ENTER.
In the registry editor, click edit>Find and then in the FIND WHAT type sixty-six or what is causing the problems and then find. If there are keys with that name, the editor will stop on it; delete and then Press F3 for Find Next. When no more keys are in the registy, you will be prompted.
