forum names on site

i saw this on a website called http://www.descent-world.com its a biking website with a good forum and some how they get the people that are on the forum on to the websites front page down the left hand side but 8im just wonderin how they do this

if you dont quite understand just say and ill explain ina bit more depth

B1kesrule - where in Scotland are you from? I'm in Glasgow studying, but originally from Dumfries. My mate Delta who use's CF is from Dalbettie as well.
