if i install a new operating system on my computer (from me to xp)
will everything be wiped?


Nothing will be able to be retrieved?

What i want is to completly wipe the hard drive?

If you dont delet the partition of me you can get the info after installing xp and if you want to wipe th hd put your me booter disk in and boot, after going throw some options you can delet the partition.

I dont have me disk and i want to convert to xp anyways so should i just install as normall and when it ask me to delete cuurent then just delete?

if you want to just quickly wipe a partition then just format it, you won't be able to get any files back without using some disk investigation tools...

if you want to make it sio nobody can recover data (not even forensic experts) you'll need a disk wiping tool, http://dban.sourceforge.net is a good free one.

Since you have Me, all you have to do is make a boot disk, boot with it in simple mode and then format your hard drive. That will wipe out everything off your hard drive. If you have a partition format it too.
To format just write after the A:\> format C: or/and other drive letter.
