I think the Rio uses Musicmatch and is compatible with Windows Media Player. At least that's what Creative ones are compatible with.

well, acutaqlly, it uses anything. except itunes i think. i use windwos media player and its just pefect for me. its a pretty sweet player. i dont really mind it not coming with software just cause it enables me to be flexablie with the software that i want to use. yeha.
