Please help to restore database(SOS)

PLease--I need your help urgently.
My hosting compnay accidentally deleted my database.

All I know is when they deleted it.
They are now trying to restore the database from backups, but in order to do that, they say that they need the name of the dbase.
The problem is that I cannot remember the name.


Do you have any ideas on how a hosting company could locate my database without knowing its name?

Well, the reason they need the name of your dbase, is so they can find it in there backups and restore them. I would think that they would keep some kind of record as to who had what stored, but apparently not. You may be out of luck man.

What programs did you have running for the database.

Look in the config file for any server program that you had running off your database.. There you will find your Database name, server, user name and password.
