dvd-rom keeps ejecting

OK my dvd-rom keeps ejecting does any one know how to fix it or do i just need to buy a new one.

you connected it and then outa nowhere it just starts opening?

had it for about 6 months but now every time i ckose it keeps ejecting

There was this old drive at school that did something similar. I suspect it just has something wrong with the sensors that tell it where the try is, or just some problems with the circuts... I doubt there's much you could do...

It could be dirty. I dunno if this is relevant.. but my TV DVD player did this and I bought a CD lens cleaner.. it stopped ejecting... This could be the problem.

Ah see.. just check these things.. you could be throwing out a perfectly good DVD player.
