Overheating?

Hello again, I'd like to start out by thanking everyone for their immense help with my computer problems! I ask again for your help:-( my computer bios is telling me that my cpu is overheating and has an average running temperature; A Whopping 109 degrees celcius! this seems impossible because my chip would melt wouldn't it? Some one please help before my cpu is a crispy critter!

WTF?!?! Something is wrong with your BIOS then...it's impossible for a CPU to withstand that heat!

Check with Everest...

Download this rather good program and check the temps with it. 228F is out there.

BTW my cpu is running at 86F...

Yes, that is a good idea. Get a utility that will give you temps of your system and compare it with what your BIOS says. If it is way off, then update your BIOS.
