I need some help picking a vga cooler, for my MSI 6600gt, since Id like to overclock more now, and its running quite hot already also the stock fan is starting to sound like a leaf blower...
I have a few choices, Ill post the links here.
Thermaltake schooner fanless heatpipe, (this heatpipe looks like its gonna give some nasty burns...:))

the actual heatpipe on that card sticks out the back o your PC, right under your vga wires, Meltage anyone?

I know that it says its for 6800's but i think I can get it to fit on my 6600gt...

BTW: I can wait about a week for things to get into stock, so if you have any suggestions, please tell me.

I'd get the zalman. My friend has it and loves it

Why can you only wait a week? Be patient....

i have teh giant III, its nice, i didnt put the blower on tho, its like a vacuum sound, and kina pointless, it dun soak up that much power, and u can hook several fans up to the fan controller too, so then if u ahve a bunch of loud fans, prolem solved :)

Very Large CoD, BF:V, and CS:S Lan Party next week, I want to get better performance out of my card so i can keep up with their 6800's, or at least try... also the stock fan is starting to die, id give in not much more than a week to live anyway, thats why it sounds bad.

ya, ummm go with giant III then try hmmmmm 1000 mhz mem speeds, and then mebbe 50 mhz faster clock?

You have a 6600GT, you'll never catch up to the 6800GT like me :) . OC at home, see how high you can get it, return it back to stock and OC it when you get there, the temps wont be too high. By the way, do you want to play CS:S with me?

Maybe sometime, right now im pretty busy getting the shop prepped for all the computers that r gonna b at this lan party, my electric bill is gonna be through the roof! 30 or more PC's all running new hardware, most have 450watt PSu and above, O well.. it will be worth it afterwards, this things gonna be going on for three days starting friday morning, were doing a halo 2 tourney, then from there we got to BF1942, then CoD, then CS:S. "drools" (6800gt) PCI-E or agp 8x version?

God i want to go to a LAN party sometime. You got to be 18 or anything? And is yours sponsered because i no alienware will sponser you and give you fancy pc's and componets to give away. I hate alineware but they offer a lot to have them sponser your LAN party.

for my lanparties anyway, people 14 and up, unless they are a close relation or friend, and if its a M rated game and they are under 18 I just ask them if their parents know what they are playing, I dont think age really maters, its skill. ERRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH i despise alienware, but I suppose i could try to get sponsored, but I may as just ask Abit as well, but the entrance fees of the people usually pays off the costs most of the time. for mine entrance is...
bring ur own PC and monitor + mouse and keybord+ powerstrip: $15
Brings own PC etc... w/out monitor: $20
Brings own PC (nothing else): $24
Brings Nothing:$30
(note these prices include Lunch(subway meal thingy))
anywho I dont know how that relates to other lan parties, but its a wicked blast.
Im not that much into sponsors anyway.
