No hotmail addresses will be private if it was a private email such as bill@microsoft.com you could do a whois search on the domain at www.whois.net, why do u want to know whos behind a email?

There have been a number of thefts and break-ins lately in my neighborhood. My dad has been running a website for the community and recently received and e-mail from this debertdolittle@hotmail.com and the wording in the e-mail shows that they know something about the thefts. The police have been looking around for the thief(s) for a few weeks now. If we could find out who the person was behind the e-mail, the police may be able to get some information that would hopefully lead to some arrests.
