What does everything think about the hunting ban in england?

I don't hunt and i don't like the idea of it. I jsut hate it but people shoulkd have cetain rights too and certain animlas that are allowed to be killed and if you kill a animla that is not allowed you should be held to imprisonment.

Id say its a bad idea as many ppl will lose there Jobs, as regarding the cruelty thing theres no way the goverment can stop cruelty to animals so i think its better just to leave people like they are, wasting the taxpayers money id say!

No. We have been hunting for millions of years (dating back to the austrapholicine [sp?])... Animals are just part of our food system. Like it or not, we eat meat. We aren't vegetarians, and never were meant to be. We are omnivores. We moreso have cattle ranches to rely on for meat, then hunting. My dad however does hunting, and that should be his right. The idealism demonstrated by some here is amusing at best.
