Hi gents, I am new to the web-site, so forgive me if this is posted in the wrong forum.
My problem is.
I have very recently had to purchase a new Laptop where I work in Cenral China. I decided to buy a Sony Vaio VGNA290, but obviously the boot disk is Chinese, I am English.
When I bought the computer I also bought a new copy of XP Pro to overcome this issue, but when I install it it automaticaly removes all the Sony drivers and utilities leaving me with a computer that does not work correctly.
I have the 80gb HD partitioned into two now with Chinese and all the Sony utilities in one drive and English XP Pro in it's basic form on the other.
Is there any way I can,
1, Change the displayed language of the Chinese version to English,
2, Combine the two, so I can keep English XP Pro and keep the Sony Drivers.
3, Transfer the Sony drivers only from C drive to D drive to allow a full bootup on iether drive.
4, Or just try to buy a new English Sony Boot disk for this Vaio model.

Thanks in advance for the help
