my mobo is a EliteGroup 848P-A can you help me i really have no clue :pif this case will work or not

The common mobo sizes are usually:

ATX: industry standard
Micro-ATX: smaller version of ATX

look up at your mobo website what form factor and then your case website for it's form factor.
Bigger case can take more hard disk, more cooling device etc. It is not a good idea to leave a case open. If something hits your case, like liquid for instance, your PC may be kapute. If you want it cooler, put an extra fan or keep it in a cooler environment.
PS> I heard someone say that the family cat went to play in the case; imagine the result.
