If intel were to build a 64-bit processor for a PC then they would have pay AMD to use their copyright,(AMD has copyrighted the 64-bit processor) and Intell would never pay AMD. So the only thing Intel can do is build a duel 32-bit processor to fit into one CPU, and I do not think they are going to do that. They might as well come up with a 128-bit processor.(that would be cool) But on the other hand they might if longhorn only supports 64-bit processors. It is a complicated issue.

they said the same thing about dual GPUs and Nvidia.

But apparently ATI has worked around it.

Intel, no doubt, will do the same.

plague, are you like amd zen in disguise??

edit:

wow, i can't believe this. Wow.

I'm still stunned at this thread.

itanium is a sever processor. you can not put a server processor into a PC. That is what i am talking about. Intel will have to pay AMD to sell a 64-bit processor for a PC.

no they wont, cuz all tehy gotta do is call it the pentimu 5, and have 64 bit tech in it, they dont use the name 64 bit at all, so the copy rite on the name dun mean shit
