Pasky Windows install...

I have been TRYING to install windows for DAYS and DAYS, but can't get it working. I have a floppy drive installed with the correct drivers etc (I think) and I press F6 when the "Press F6 for third party scsi or raid controller" option comes up, but it just ignores the command. I am pretty sure that F-lock is off on the keyboard, as pressing F1 takes me to windows setup. Whenever win is going to install it says that it can't detect the HD. Why is this? The HD is connected propperly, so I don't know what the hell this is all about. Please...someone help!

when you make a new partition on your hhd, the new partition must be formatted before it can read anything.
