Normal temp for hard drive

i dont even have the side fan on right now just the one in front and two in back and the cpu cooler, that cools stuff down alot.

I got mine from CompUSA (Mad Dog) but looks very similar. I also have two fans in the front blowing in (intake) as well. So couple that with the HD cooler, it totally rocks.

does it go in the 2nd slot or on the hard drive?

So far, it's holding steady at 20 degrees. It fluctuated a little between 20 and 21 degrees but now, I guess it's 20 degrees. I'll bet once I start to play games, it'll rise. Just like the temp on my 6600GT. I'm still having a problem keeping that cool. It can run in the 70's at times. Pretty weird huh? Everything else is so cool, but the video card.

It goes on the bottom of the hard drive. It comes with screws to mount it into the holes on the bottom of the drive itself.

It's actually the nVIdia drivers I downloaded that does the temp readout. After installing the new drivers from nvidia.com, I right click the desktop to go into display properties and go into advanced settings. You should see an option to see Temperature as one of the controls.

It looks like an exhaust blower. I have two of those, but not that particular kind. A must have too.
