Normal temp for hard drive

What is a normal temperature for Hard drives, (mine is 160 GB SATA Western Digital if it matters ) mines is usually around 40 C or 104 F

how did you find out your HD temp? i can see 40C being bad.. dunno though.

mmm wut u use to figer dat out? i think mine runs around 40-41 c also but im not sure, i get taht info from speedfan

Cool. I'm downloading that now. Dial-up, should take about 15 minutes for a 3MB file. Man, I need broadband. Hopefully this week or next week. Can't wait.

I never knew you can monitor the hard drive temp. Should be interesting to see what I'm getting on my SATA. I've got like HD cooler plus two front system fans blowing across it. It should be pretty cool.
