Hard drive configuration?

ok i just built my pc a few days ago. i currently only have one HD i know i at least need another.

my question is how would you guys set up your HD's for best results like if a HD goes i dont want to lose everything but i also want them to be fast.

i saw someone on here with two 74G raptor drives in raid-0 and another 250G HD. what was that for backup of the other two?

i am familiar with some raid configurations like raid-0 and raid-1 but i guess what i need to know is how you guys would do it.

i already have whats in my sig, thanks

Just copy your important files to your storage, that simple. Goto my computer and click on the HDD and copy whatever you want to another HDD.

so i should just buy the 74G raptor and use the smaller one for backup right?
