Sound help

My left channel audio continually goes out. I have to wiggle the cable around for it to work and now I acnt get it to work. Is there a way I can fix this? Do I need a new sound card? I am hooked up to an Akai receiver with 4 speakers if that helps... Thanks

sounds like you have a bad wire, have you tried hooking something else up to it and seeing if it does the same?

I hooked it into my MP3 player and it works great. Its hooked intot he front audio port. I am gonna try the rear here in a second.

The rear is the same, only right channel is active.
