My computer has been freezing while playing games ever since I got this 128 Geforce fx5200 AGP card..I would be playing and it just freezez completely and i have to restart. My CPU temp was low last i checked (cant remember) but it was not overheating..SO i went out and bought a 256 radeon 9600pro..And it frooze in about 2min instead of 30min with my Geforce. Any ideas what this could be from?? do I need a new motherboard? If so...I put this PC together..If i just get a new motherboard...Do i just swith the parts or is there something that I need to know since the computer is 2 years old now. Thanks

BTW I have:

Dual P3 1.1
Gigabyte Apollo pro 6VTXD motherboard
512 Sdram.

Mine started doing that for no reason, but somebody told me to download the newest drivers for the card from their site. So i did that...and it fixed it :)

Yeah I got the same advice and that didnt fix the problem...thanks for advice.

Well your question is: do I need a new motherboard?

If you are still using SDRAM means you have a bus speed of 100-133Mhz. Todays motherboard have bus going at 533Mhz, that's ~ 400Mhz more.

You need a new motherboard point.

Games require speed, and your mobo may just be too slow

Yeah good point..gonna start looking into putting together a new computer. thx.
