They cannot do HT with dual core. The HT works by overloading the thread capabilites and adding a thread core to the chip. With two dies on each chip though, it will be impossible to accomplish HT because dual core will already be doing more threading then HT does anyway.
Not really. You get two processors in one to merely compress two processors into one. If you compress two HT Processors into one you get two HT Processors, pushing out the same capabilities as two normal ones. Putting two Processors on one Chip changes the processors in no way; its the Coding for the Processors and the Software Available for it which has kept the Dual Cores back and HT down.

Obviously I simplify the process; but in its basicness that is what happens. Controlling the Processors is what's not easy.

No comment about the Toledo being released before the VIIV? :D Giancarlo doesn't even think the VIIV will be released this year.

David still has his account blocked... Even though I believe Airiox has asked him to unblock it.

Lord K, HT WILL BE DROPPED. Either that, or Intel will have to reengineer the ENTIRE SYSTEM to work properly! HT uses a single incoming thread command line and mutlithreads it. This is why HT is a good technology. BUt, with dual processors, the Threads will be coming in far too fast to be multithreaded without risking EXTREMELY HIGH LATENCY!
