amd 64 3500 or intel???

FSB= 1600MHz
L1 Cache= 64KB + 64KB=128KB
L2 Cache= 512KB

New 90nm Winchester core runs ULTRA COOL! You can OC it 300MHz with stock cooling, and it will only run at 40 Celcius at full load!!!

ALso, the 3500+ beats even the "mighty" Intel P4 EE 3.46GHz CPU by 18FPS in DooM3! And over 23FPS in HL2!

the msi k8n neo2 plat restricts the fsb to 1000, it kind of depends on the mobo, some ASUS boards let it up to 2ghz, most boards are about 1.6 and some are 1.8, go with a gigabyte nforce4 ultra

i might get a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI nForce4, 1600MHz FSB, Dual Channel, Skt939 or a A8NSLI Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 Dual Channel, Dual LAN , SLI

NO!!! NO ASUS, THAT BOARD SUCKS!! Trust me, that board is the most ANNOYING THING ever!!! Get the MSI Neo4 SLi board, it has a 32x PCIe bus that is split into two 16X busses, so it is full speed on both. Also, the FSB trance is regulated by the integrated Hypertransport controllers on the AMD chip itself. The motherboard will just allow for certain speeds. The ASUS allows for 2000MHz because it uses that AI NOS (the only good feature on that board) but I couldn't get my FSB past 1,750 ("stable" at this point) using the hypertransport frequency multiplier.
