I still need keyboard mouse and some drives, is there anything I could cut corners on to make it a little cheaper, to end at $1000

Ohh, NO!! Don't get that HardDrive. You do not want IDE on the powerful MOBO. You want SATA HD. I recommend you get two 80GB SATA drives and put them in RAID 0. Here are links to the Scorpio Case, and another case.. BTW, that Samarai case is ugly, I agree... I posted the wrong one.... EWWWWWW... I have a much better case linked below. And speakers as well.
