noob question need help

hi i just bought a barebone computer and it dosent have a place to plug in the monitor cable on the mobo it is a ASUS A7V600-X

so do i need to buy a video card so i can plug my monitor in or whats the deal thanks i am a noob

yes. Your motherboard doesn't have onboard video support so an additional graphics card is needed. You have an 8x AGP bus slot so get a good video card (geforce 6600GTor 6800) in there and play some awesome games.

yeah a 6600gt, i dont think u will neeed a 6800 cos 6600gt will play nearly all games sweet.

Or if your not playing games that much but playing everynow and then get the 6600GT if your power supply will take it or maybe a 9800

or if ur tight on money just buy a cheap 9600xt lol

Buy a graphics card that has a decent heatsink and Fan if you want to play games but if not just buy a cheaper one
