ah, okay. I denno how to do this.

Plus, i don't have a floppy drive, because I don't like them.

SO basically I have a cd-rw drive and a dvd rom drive.

Someone give me step by step instructiosn on how to do this.

I already found the BIOS update for me. I just don't know how to use it.

Sombody correct me if im wrong ok:
1. i dunno if you can do it with a cd (if u have a cd-rw) but save the file to the cd. I think you will have to cange your boot order so ur cd drive reads first. then install it over the old bios i would make shure u have a copy of the old one. if u cant use a cd get a floppy. Always a good thing to have no matter how old they are.

ok.

getting an floppy is not an option at the moment.
I did change the boot order so it reads cd drive first.

so what do i do next??
just reboot and see if it pops up?

It cannot do it off of CD.... Only floppy. The reason: The Floppy is the Primary flash recording area, and that has yet to be changed. The BIOS will only update itself off of the IDE channel that goes into the floppy. Sry Tips.

every time u have referred to my name, u spell it tips. It is not tips, it is tiBs. the b. not the p.
tibs as in tiburon the car.

Just wanted to straighten that out.

i think u can boot off of a CD. Just need to find a way.

no cuzin i think the zen is right, dude buy a floppy for 7-14 dollers and a cable for 3 or 4 and just plop it in. I never heard of updating that kind of stuff with a cd. why do u need to update the bios soo bad?
