And you know this... how... They're not bringing out a 64-bit Version of their Processors beyond the EM64Ts; until the Dual Processors. Sun Tzu's Time Machine is in heavy use today! First for AMD to Invent Dual Processors, now for you to see Intel not bring out a Processor they didn't say they'd bring out.

We do basically - unless you seriously believe we gain from the growth of AMD?

Ok, Lk and Gian still goin at it,, first Giancarlo, Amd will never "destroy" Intel, as intel is a very popular brand. Its sales are very good and people are "brainwashed" from Intel inside commercials, its not all brainwashing most of it is , that people have owned a Intel machine before and it served them well (depending on the brand if its Dell or Compaq they prolly werent good) so they know its a brand they can trust, in the past amd has been the cheap company always making bargain chips. Now they are a great company making good quality processors! So neither intel or amd will go out of business if anyone does lets hope apple will.

LK: Intel isnt superior to Amd infact amd beats intel in gaming most of the time, Depending on the processor, but when you compare Intels flag ship processor to Amds , Amd beats it. Intel is much better in mobile processors even amd zen said he liked it. Whose better in servers i dont know.

To both: The point is neither company is just gonna go away and admit defeat to the other, We all just need to get over this, If you prefer intel buy intel if u like amd buy amd!

Intel is far too popular? That's what people said about Apple circa 1993. What happened to it anyways? Sales are decent for both companies, but AMD is using John D. Rockefeller type market strategies to eat away at the competition. AMD is ruthless when it comes to competition (not as ruthless as Standard Oil Co. but pretty close).

AMD beats Intel in just about everything, including business applications.

I'm waiting for the AMD Turion Mobile 64-bit. That'll put the Centrino out of business.

Yeah, Pentium M is ok, but Turion is going to PWN it! And the Opteron series and Geode chips are great for everything server related, whether it be LOW POWER MASS SERVERS or stack LARGE POWER SERVERS, Opterons PWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rockefeller won the oil market by putting it's multiple competitors out of market, or buying them altogether. AMD has only one major opponent. So you can't exactly use that as an example.

However, in a different sense, you're right. He refined oil cheaper and better, which is what AMD is doing right now.
